Is there a discount for multiple children or camps?

YES!  You can save 10% off camps if you sign up for more than one!  Use the code: MoreThanOne   Note: Only one discount can be applied per registration

Are your coaches background checked?

Absolutely! And we still have measures in place to prevent them from being alone with any children.  Safety is our first priority.

Are your coaches trained to teach STEM?

YES!  All of our coaches are specifically trained on our philosophies and curricula they are responsible for.  All have solid backgrounds in the STEM field and experience with children. We are not babysitting, we are inspiring and serving our STEM Campers.

Will my child be challenged?

Our goal is to inspire the participants to love learning and build a spirit of grit and problem-solving.  Our coaches are trained to be very in-tune with the children at the camp and make any modifications they deem appropriate to keep them challenged and engaged.  Our curricula are designed to support critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity as well as building a belief in failure is just part of the process of learning.  We put a great deal of energy into providing a safe space for children to learn and take risks while they build and strengthen friendships!

What if my child can’t go the entire week; is there a discount?

Yes!  Please contact Donna (Stateline@stemforkids.net) and she will apply the appropriate discount to your registration.

Will the campers be sitting at technology all day?

That is a giant NO!  We feel very passionately about children enjoying time outside in the summer.  We have a recess built into the morning, lunchtime, and afternoon.  Exercise is essential.

Should I pack a lunch and/or snack?

Yes!  Please send in a sack lunch and a refillable water bottle.

Do you serve children with disabilities?

We will serve any child that can participate with minimal assistance.  Please call Donna and discuss your child’s needs and we will do whatever we can to include them.  You are welcome to come with your child and see if you feel they can enjoy our camps.

What about CDC Guidelines, do you follow them?

We will be requesting mask-wearing by all participants and do our part sanitizing our facility and equipment as well as using hand sanitizer.  We will be requiring parents to sign a COVID 19 waiver to ensure they are only sending children they feel confident are free of COVID.  We will spend time outside and keep the children socially distanced as much as is feasible.

What happens if my child is not engaged?

We will find alternative ways to engage children if they are either not interested, capable, or challenged.  We have limitless curricula and very creative staff who will make adaptations to activities to either create more challenge or make a bit easier as needed.

How do you handle children who are disruptive?

Because our camps are very engaging and adaptable, we have very few disciplinary issues.  If we do find a child is not cooperating and disruptive to the other students, we consider this to be an imposition on the other campers and address it as swiftly and efficiently as we can.  We will address the child directly and privately to see if we can resolve the issue.  If a child continues to act out, a parent or guardian will be contacted and asked to help resolve the issue or come pick their child up.  Please see the website for further details. We will not tolerate any level of bullying or disrespect of fellow campers, staff, or property.
