While jobs in computing and engineering are growing at a fast pace and promise lucrative careers, STEM workforce is not diverse. To encourage and provide diverse students an opportunity to explore hands-on STEM, this year we are pleased to bring these scholarships together with Molex Inc.
Scholarships will be awarded for STEM For Kids' camps during summer 2016 to students who are economically disadvantaged and represent an ethnic minority group. Our year-round camps in robotics, engineering and computer programming are offered in various locations throughout the Triangle region including Raleigh, Cary and Durham. The scholarships are only applicable for our NC Triangle Region. The scholarships will be offered for our half day camps, typically offered for a week between 9 AM - noon or 1 PM - 4 PM. To Apply, parents should complete the following form. After parents complete the form, we will seek a referral from the teacher they indicate as the reference. These two steps must be completed by June 10th 2016. Scholarships will be awarded by June 15th.
